Grade 1 Program – September 2025

At a time when public education is getting a failing grade in the “Nations Report Card”, student to teacher ratios in public schools are at a staggering  30:1, student misbehavior is on the rise, chronic absenteeism is riddling classrooms, teachers are burning out and cell phone distraction is a minute by minute issue, there is no better time to make a change to New Heights Academy and invest in your child’s formative years starting with our 1st grade  class this fall.

Founded on some very basic principles, New Heights Academy at Summit is clearly different than public schools:

First, we don’t want to teach your children for the income; we want to teach your children for the outcome.

Next, we will not teach to the middle; we will teach the skills needed, individually, to mastery. No child will fall behind or get lost in our program as your child will progress at their own pace. Think of it as homeschooling your child; except that we’re doing it for you.

We want to empower lifelong learners and instill the joy of learning. Learning can be fun if you’re taught how to learn.

Effective academics include the teaching of critical thinking, curiosity, open discourse, experiential learning and over achievement through constant challenges. All teaching will be done by Tracey Fraser & David Boyle.

New Heights will also work on life skills. Children need to know how to act, basic manners, discipline, boundaries, table manners, respect. Love of God & country and how to practice good character.

The grade 1 program will be limited to 15 students making it a 15:1 student to teacher ratio. Our curriculum will include academics, physical fitness, extracurricular activities, and Christian based values.

Tuition for the entire school year is $8,500; compare that to other private grade 1 programs in the Capital District that charge $12,000-$19,000 per year.

Given that New Heights Academy will be open to ALL students entering 1st grade from the entire Capital District, our program of 15 students will sell out quickly.

Tuition:  $8,500.00 ($850 paid monthly, September 2025-June 2026)
