Our History
Sixteen years ago, Summit Child Care was founded by New Heights Academy Co-Founder Tracey Fraser to serve Shenendehowa families in need of quality before school and after school care.
So successful were these two child care programs that a critically acclaimed summer camp and hugely successful kindergarten-wrap program were introduced to the Summit stable of child care services that continue to serve hundreds of families to this day.
In the summer of 2024, New Heights Academy co-founder David Boyle returned to Summit as a camp counselor, 8 years after working part time at the Summit Camp as a then college student enroute to his master’s degree.
During that summer, David expressed interest in leaving his 8-year teaching career in the Mechanicville School District to make a difference. His goal was to join Summit Child Care, LLC, full time, and help supercharge the program with veteran teacher Tracey Fraser, focusing on the academic success of kindergarteners in Summit’s storied Kindergarten Wrap-Around program. In October of 2024, David’s interest became a reality as he was hired at the Summit Child Care program as the new Site Supervisor.
Inspired by K-Wrap student’s response to highly rigorous study and pro-social interaction, New Heights Academy at Summit was born; its mission, to continue to provide unmatched academic rigor and success with a small classroom, homeschool type education for children in their formative years following kindergarten.
Tracey’s incredible expertise and experience matched with David’s ambition to be directly involved in his own young children’s education has created Clifton Park’s premier private elementary school, New Heights Academy at Summit.
